How long can the 3Doodler Start be used wirelessly?

Once fully charged, your 3Doodler Start will run wirelessly for 45 -60 minutes.

Like any focussed activity it’s good to give yourself (and the pen) a break now and then. We suggest taking a 30 minute break after two hours of continuous Doodling.

  • Can I use the 3Doodler Start with my Create DoodlePad or other 3Doodler Create Accessories?

    No, the 3Doodler Start is not compatible with any of the 3Doodler 1.0, 2.0, or Create products or accessories, including Plastic Strands, DoodlePad, Nozzle Set, JetPack, Doodlestand, or Pedal. The only exception is the Project Book, which we encourage using for 3Doodler Start projects too.

  • Is the 3Doodler Start safe for children?

    Completely. The 3Doodler Start Pen and Eco-Plastics are specially designed to be completely safe for kids ages 6 years and above. There are no hot parts on the pen and our Eco-Plastic is non-toxic, BPA-free, and completely biodegradable in your household compost. It typically takes about 45 days for the plastic to break down, depending on various environmental factors.

  • How does one charge the 3Doodler Start?

    The 3Doodler Start is sold with a micro USB charging cable, so you can plug it into any powered device with a USB port to recharge, though charging via USB power brick plugged directly into a power outlet is recommended. It can take up to 2 and a half hours for a the pen to reach a full charge.
